FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We have been told by our beloved clients that our dedication and art reflects in our pictures. You'll notice a smile on our faces while capturing the moments. We believe that being friends with our clients and making them feel comfortable gives us an upper hand. It helps us bring the best in you which results in a magical output.
We accept bookings up to a year in advance. The sooner you reach out, the better chance you have of securing your date!
No, we don't just cover weddings. While wedding photography is a major part of WMC's heart and soul, we do cover other events as well such as commercial, fashion and concept shoots, corporate profile shoots, and corporate events.
Yes, we do! We currently provide pre-wedding photo shoot and film services to couples who are interested in just a pre wedding shoot and not the wedding documentation.
WMC is based in Delhi NCR, India, but our work takes us across the world. We love destination weddings and are open to travel anywhere internationally. Share your plans with us, and we’ll craft a custom wedding collection just for you.
Destination weddings are all about taking your big day to the next level and thus it includes a lot of detailing and precision to make sure you get nothing but the best. At WMC, we believe no two couples are alike, which is why we focus solely on every individual couple's requirements and dream visuals for their special day. After due visualization, planning, and detailed discussions to make their dream come alive, we then curate customized packages that suit their particular specifications.
We know waiting for the wedding deliverables is really difficult. We deliver the photos and films while the excitement is fresh with each and every image professionally edited.
Usual delivery timelines are 4-6 weeks for photographs and 12-16 weeks for films.
When the editing is complete, we upload the images and films to a password-protected online link with face recognition and send it to you via email. You can share the link with friends and family, so they can view your photos and films. You can also download the whole gallery of images and films to your computer. By utilizing the latest technologies, we ensure a secure and efficient experience to all our clients.
Wedding seasons are a busy time for us and thus we take 50 per cent of the amount at the time of booking to finalize your dates on our calendar. The remaining 50 per cent is due on the first day of our arrival at the venue or the first day of coverage, whichever comes first.
The retainer is a non-refundable payment made in addition to a signed contract to confirm your booking and reserve our services exclusively for your date. If you cancel the contract, the retainer is forfeited. The retainer cannot be transferred to another date or client. However, in the event of unforeseen circumstances or natural calamities, the booking may be subject to cancellation. To request a reschedule, you must notify us at least 3 months in advance.
The couples we have worked with in the past are not models and for many of them it was their first experience being photographed by a professional photographer. Yet, if you look through our portfolio, they look comfortable in front of the camera, because we have developed techniques to help ease our couples into feeling and looking authentic. We become friends with couples before starting, which makes the interaction comfortable and friendly. We attribute this success to our approach in working closely with each couple to understand their relationship and help them choose a meaningful experience for the shoot. When a couple is engaged in an activity that they love to do together, they naturally forget that they’re being photographed. This is the goal for each shoot. We don’t coach our couples into unnatural poses, but we will give them little prompts. Our directions are small and simple, as we like to allow you to interpret the prompts in your own way that feels natural. Our prompts are ways to get you to interact with each other. Some couples may need more prompts than others, and that’s okay!
Sorry, we absolutely do not recommend it. Apart from being uneconomical, it may obstruct and tamper with our work. The advantage of a single team is that we will get clean, unobstructed visual frames without local photographers jumping into our frames and ruining the film moments.
The expenses for the travel, food and accommodation for the crew members are usually borne by the client unless decided otherwise or factored in as a package deal. In addition, the hard-drives for the final delivery are paid for by the clients too. Any additional days / hours of shooting (not mentioned in contract) are charged extra as per the rates in the contract. There are no other hidden costs.
During a wedding shoot, the stills and the video teams should have harmony and co-ordination for the benefit of client coverage and to avoid getting into each other’s frames. We usually cover both together to ensure perfect synchronicity of images and film coverage but in rare cases we have accommodated an odd request to allow a photo team to work alongside for wedding coverage.
Yes we offer this service - These are referred to as "Same Day Edits" and they are a great way to showcase some of the best moments of the wedding instantly to everyone present. However, this is an expensive process (extra equipment and setups are required for an extra editor to produce this) and adds to the final cost of the package.
Good lighting is a pre-requisite for great photos and videos. If a few simple things are taken care of at the planning stage, the job is half done. Go for natural lighting instead of tinted hues and ensure that the stage, mandap etc. are well lit especially in the night. The spatial design should be such that it allows the crew to cover the event from multiple angles for a good variety in footage - always advise your planner to keep in mind the space needed by photographers in case of over-crowded events. It’s a good idea to have some extra time at hand before each event for couple shots - it doesn’t take more than 10-15 minutes, but ensures that the couple has some stunning portraits before the hair, makeup and outfits make their way to the dance floor - to never come back the way they were!
All original works of art, including pictorial and video works have a copyright protection. This means that the creator of an image/video (in this case, The Wedding Story) owns the copyright for the same. Hence, WMC can use any images/videos on our social media channels for any purpose that we deem suitable. Naturally, these images portray the clients in good light and more often than not, such social media posts are a matter of pride for all the clients and vendors involved. If the couple do not want their images/videos to be shared publicly, this has to specified explicitly at the time of signing the contract.
We usually keep the backup of all weddings and events we cover for up to 60 days. So, we encourage our couples to use those 2 months to make at least two backups of their data on their end so that their memories are always safe with them. We do not keep the backup beyond that.
Yes, of course! No matter how far we go with technology, the charm of sitting down with your family, flipping through the pages of albums will always remain the same. So yes, we do provide wedding albums and will be happy to work with you on yours as well!
Yes, we totally understand how intimate a wedding is and how every couple has a dream visual for their wedding coverage and results. So, we usually allow two rounds of changes to the trailer and the film where the first round is a complete run through with all changes discussed and the second round is left for only minor edits, if required at all. To make things easier and in line with the delivery deadlines, we encourage our couples to give us their entire list of changes after the first round itself.
For the Stories that Deserve to Endure Beautifully!
Your day will pass in a breathless few hours. The vows, the tears quietly blinked back, the first dance that ends far too soon — all of it moves with an urgency that even the most present mind cannot fully absorb. What remains of it should last a lifetime, and speak just as truthfully decades from now as it did in the moment itself. That is not something to leave to chance.
If something in these images made you pause, feel something, or simply know, that instinct is worth following!
